A few of these are simply part of recent Cities: Skylines free content updates.STOCKHOLM - MAParadox Interactive, a publisher and developer that harbors strong feelings for its players, today announced the newest expansion for Cities: Skylines, available next week for both PC and consoles. Finally, there are now tourist or amusement industry-center helicopter rides that function similarly to the older-school blimps, with pick up stations and routes that are drawn by the player. In the area of people-moving, there are new truck depots - a close industrial ally to the harbor - as well as private aviation terminals for the small aircraft enthusiasts, and new above-ground elevated commuter trains that can connect with existing subway systems. There are new garbage and waste treatment facilities, each with green versions and while these can reduce the air pollution they can also move the pollutants into the ground instead. The new child care and senior living facilities impact the health and happiness of citizens of different ages and can even increase the reproductive rate in the city. In addition to new maps and the aquatic and harbor-related content, Sunset Harbor also includes some new buildings and several transportation-related additions. Of course, pollution and dirty wastewater spilling into the harbor will seriously impact production. In addition to fishing, there are static, aquatic farms and these can raise both fish and things like algae and can be placed in inland bodies of water as well. Fishing boats have set routes out in the water, not unlike roadways, and can even extend outside the city boundary as long as the route connects back to the harbor building. Of course, Sunset Harbor’s biggest draw has to be all the different ways that it makes players’ coastlines come to life by adding lots of fishing types (depending on the water depth) and fish processing industries as well as touristy fish markets.
